Clever storyline with an obsessed (actually "borderline") Ozzie looking for where some bolt he saved came from. We see the lovely mid-century bath with separate shower (also used in one of the Listerine commercials); the gravity coal furnace, the roof and rooftop TV antenna (in those days a high tech ultra modern showoff item) and a car torn apart.

Frank Cady (later on to become "Doc") has a full head of hair and works in a hardware store.

I never saw this episode before (I was probably already tucked in for the night by the time this aired) and it's one of my favorites!

Ricky admits in the opening segment that Listerine is their bread and butter. Heh, heh.

Frank Cady appears in this episode as Mr Baxter, the Hardware store owner, with a full head of hair and glasses!A few years later he plays a Doctor and one of Ozzies friends on this show.

And picture quality is excellent in this episode, save for being a bit dark.

Maybe when it is considered 'Bread & Butter'.

The singular two extras presented here are Don Defore (from Hazel) an' Mr. Drucker from Pettycoat Junction/Beverly Hillbillies.

An' the irepressible Ricky, who's 14 here... His real birthday was 12th May 1940 and this was filmed in Nov 1954, AFTER the birthday so that would make Ricky 14 years old.

An' what did Ozzie Do for a living? Guess he thought that everbuddy realized that he was already a retired Big Band Leader and more recently a Radio Star featuring his former leading singer an presently wife, Harriet Hilliard.
IMDB.com sez that this episode was from Season 3 Episode 08 as of 10th Dec 1954.

Love these NICE programs.
